Gustav Lejelind Kim Johansson
we are what we remember
we are what we remember
Kim Johansson and Gustav Lejelind are working on installations and performances by combining fragmented audio and video recordings.
Production practices focus on how time influences and distorts perception in certain areas of the nation and city. They use music, animation, object theater and projection as tools to determine the role of the audience.
Although they make changes in the appearance of the exterior of a building or the acoustics of a room, the audience is the most important choreographic element in the installation and performance they create.
Gustav and Kim will make a performative installation for PASAJ about acceleration, speed and the collective memory of the city.

Kim Johansson and Gustav Lejelind work with installations and performances based on collected fragments, such as sound and video recordings. Their practice focuses on how time affects and distorts the states and perceptions of specific locations in a city. They use music, animation, object-theatre and projections as tools to determine the role of the audience. Whether they are changing the appearance of a building's facade or the acoustics of a room, the audience is a crucial choreographic element in their installations and live performances.
For Pasaj they will make a performative installation about acceleration, speed and collective memory of the city.
