Olivia Valentine’s work creates relationships between textile and architectural structures. Her new installation, Panorama, is based on both traditional motifs of iğne oyası and the urban fabric of contemporary Turkey.  Spanning the interior and exterior spaces of PASAJist, Panorama takes the once diminutive garment edge and expands it to the scale of the city. Olivia Valentine holds an MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and is currently in Turkey as a Fulbright Fellow researching intersections in decorative motifs in Anatolian textiles and architecture.
